Let's dig in to what the evidence is so far.
Dr. Chris Munoz
I've been in the health and fitness industry since 2017. After attaining my Bachelors in Health and Exercise Science, I became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and completed a strength and conditioning internship at Ski and Snowboard Club Vail. During that internship, I fell in love with working with return-to-sport athletes and wanted to bridge the gap between strength and conditioning and physical therapy, which led me to enroll in the physical therapy program at Regis University. Upon graduation, I worked as a sports PT treating patients ranging from pediatric to professional athletes before joining the team at The Fitness Lab.
I strongly emphasize that education and proactivity are key components to establishing an effective treatment plan. I believe each patient's plan should be individualized, based on the best available evidence, and patient goal directed. My advanced training post-graduation has included Titleist Professional Institute Medical 2, dry needling level 1, Selective Functional Movement Assessment, Isometric Strength Training, and Sports Performance. As a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, I tend to take a more active approach to help patients get back to the activities they love.
