Here is everything you need to know about health insurance, and why it is so dang confusing.
Built To Stay Independent.
Choice City started because Sam Fischer wanted more control over one thing: how he treated his patients. So in 2018, he stopped waiting for someone else to build the kind of clinic he wanted to work in and started his own.

OUR STORY
How It Started
He was done being told how to do his job.
Before Choice City, Sam worked in other PT clinics. The work itself was never the problem—it was the way the work was managed.
There were productivity numbers to hit. Expectations about what to treat and how to treat it. More patients meant better numbers for the clinic, but not necessarily better care for the patient.
Eventually the bigger question was simple: Was he going to keep complaining about it, or try building something different?

He figured he’d regret not trying. So he struck out on his own.
2018
The first clinic was pretty bare bones.
Choice City opened in 2018 in a small space on the west side of Fort Collins. There weren’t any big investors or business loans, so a lot of the early investment was his own time. He laid flooring. Fixed drywall. Built out the space. Then, toward the end of the year, he started seeing patients.
He didn’t arrive in Fort Collins with a big referral network either. He had practiced in Denver and Loveland, knew very few local physicians, and was opening in a town that already had plenty of physical therapy clinics. Not exactly the easy route!

But, one patient became another, and the clinic kept growing.
Why Independence?
Independent on purpose.
Choice City has grown since that first little clinic; but, the basic idea hasn’t changed.
We hire physical therapists we trust to make good calls and treat people like people. We want enough time with each patient to actually pay attention. We want to make decisions based on what makes sense for the people who come here, not what makes sense for some corporation's annual profit margin.

Independence doesn’t make running a clinic easy.
It does make it ours.
THE NAME
Why 'Choice City?'
There were a lot of bad name ideas first. Most of the decent ones were already taken. Then Sam started noticing the same phrase around Fort Collins: Choice City.
Choice City Butcher & Deli. Choice City Auto. Other local businesses had been using the name for years. Fort Collins itself has a long history with the 'Choice City' nickname, so Sam checked the important part.
The URL was available. Done.
Choice City started as a practical name for a brand-new clinic. Somewhere along the way, Fort Collins became a much bigger part of what the practice is. Sam and the team live here, work here, and spend a lot of time with the same people they run into at gyms, races, trails, schools, and around town.

At this point, 'Choice City' feels less like a business name and more like where we belong.
So yeah, the name stuck!
Choice City Today
It’s not a one person clinic anymore.
Choice City has grown, and so has the team.
What hasn’t changed is the kind of place we’re trying to run.
Small enough that people know each other.
Independent enough to make our own calls.
Serious about physical therapy without taking ourselves too seriously.

Come visit, and let's get to work!

PERFORMANCE OUTCOMES
Results That Speak For Themselves.
Amazing experience! Choice City Physical Therapy got me [and my husband] in within days compared to other locations being booked out for months! I felt well cared for and heard. Great company!
Dr. Sam was patient and kind, but pushed me gently to go past my self-imposed limitations because I was afraid of pain. He is an incredibly gifted physical therapist and tailors his approach to each individual.
I’m rehabbing a knee replacement and I so appreciate Dr. Sam Fischer and the environment in this office. I am getting stronger and gaining ROM after every visit. The office is chill with great music.
Sam was not only able to identify the cause of my chronic pain, but also explained it to me patiently and clearly. I'm all healed up! If I need a PT again, I am coming here!
Exceptional PT office! Sam is extremely knowledgeable, patient, and kind. He takes time to make sure you understand what is happening and the results you are looking for at different stages of your recovery.
I had a very complicated foot surgery. Dr. Sam understood it immediately and was able to explain it to me. He provided exercises and changed them up to keep me engaged and progressing in my recovery.
Easily the best PT I've been to. I've seen both Sam and Chris for a handful of sports injuries at this point, including knee, shoulder, hamstring, and forearm injuries, and have been very happy with the results!
After not being able to do a chin-up for months due to the pain, I was able to do them with ease. 2 weeks later and I would say my arm is back to at least 90%, and have no back pain. I put up with this for months!
