FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Here are a few of the most frequent questions we get. If we don't cover it here, feel free to reach out!

Still have questions?

Chat with our Team →

01

Do You Accept My Insurance?

Probably. We're in-network with most major plans. The best move is to tell us your plan and let us verify your benefits before your first visit, so there are no surprises.

02

Do I Need a Doctor’s Referral?

In Colorado, you don't legally need a referral to see a PT. But some insurance plans still require one to cover it, and it varies a lot by plan. Give us your info, and we'll check for you before you come in.

03

What do I need to wear or bring with me?

Comfortable clothes you can move in, with easy access to whatever hurts. Bring water. And bring anything useful about why you're here: post-op instructions, MRI or X-ray reports, doctor's notes. The more we have, the better.

04

Is there anything I can do before my appointment to prepare?

Fill out your paperwork online ahead of time. It gets into our system before you arrive, so you're not doing it in the waiting room, and we can spend your full 40 minutes on you instead. Come rested and ready to work.

05

What should I expect during physical therapy sessions?

Your first visit is 40 minutes with your PT. We talk through what's going on, figure out what's actually driving it, and build a plan around your goals. Expect to work. We treat with strength and movement, not a table full of gadgets. This is physical therapy, not relaxation therapy!

06

How long will my physical therapy sessions last?

40 minutes. The first visit usually includes treatment, or at least a solid plan for what's next.

07

What if I have questions after my physical therapy session?

Ask us. Your PT is there before, during, and after your visit, and you can always call the clinic or text us through our app. We'd rather you ask than guess.

08

Are there any exercises I can do at home between appointments to help improve my condition?

Usually, yes. Your PT will give you specific things to work on between visits, and doing them is a big part of how you progress. The work you put in on your own matters as much as what happens in the clinic.

09

How often will I need to come in?

It depends on you and what we're dealing with. Some things need a few visits, some need a lot more. We'll set a schedule with you at your first visit and be straight about it. What we won't do is string you along or sell you a quick fix that doesn't exist.

10

How long will it take for me to see results?

Depends what we're working on. Tissue heals on its own timeline, and real strength takes at least six weeks to build, sometimes longer. We'll be straight with you about what yours looks like. There are very rarely quick fixes, but the work pays off.

11

Will my physical therapist be able to answer any questions I have about my condition?

Yes. Ask us anything about what's going on with you or your plan. If we don't know, we'll say so. And often you're getting the read of all three of our PTs, not just one.

12

What if I feel too much pain during a session?

Tell us. Some of the work is uncomfortable, but none of it should be unsafe. We will be asking you about any pain throughout a session, but still, always say something, and we'll adjust. We're not going to push you into anything you're not ready for.

13

How will I know when I'm done?

When you've hit your goals, and you're strong enough to keep it going on your own. We'll tell you when we think you're there, and we won't keep you coming longer than you need to. If you want to keep training after that, that's what our cash options are for.

After not being able to do a chin-up for months due to the pain, I was able to do them with ease. 2 weeks later and I would say my arm is back to at least 90%, and have no back pain. I put up with this for months!
